For just one day a year we recognise them for the heroes they are. This year, like the last 3 years, we want to pay homage to Working Mums. These women do all of the heroic work of a typical mum and then go to work in order to make ends meet or pursue their careers. This is the true character of "the aussie battler" - not the all-Australian myth of men in dirty shorts, pulling large trucks from a mining pit and enjoying a VB at the end of the day. This year nominate your mum, wife, partner or colleague for the 4th Working Mother Of The Year Award. Simply tell us why she is the best mum in 150 words or less. If your entry wins, she will receive a full body massage and a fresh bunch of flowers every month for the coming year. This will let her feel how much you care. The Nuns' Run – Help fight cancer and ‘get moving’! 3 Minute Angels has been a proud supporter of the Young Garvan since 2003. Young Garvan aims to educate Sydney’s young business and medical community on the breakthrough medical research occurring today, that will affect our future. So, how does this fit with the Nuns’ Run? Some of the Sisters of Charity (who founded both the Garvan Institute and St Vincent’s Hospital) have decided to run/walk the 400 kms from Dubbo to Darlinghurst to raise funds for the Garvan St Vincent’s (GSV) Cancer Centre. The Nuns’ Run is part of a $100m capital campaign to build the Centre. This month, we thought we would introduce you to some of our Team across Australia. Our Angels are an industrious bunch, and Marzena from our Sydney team also has a busy life as a wedding photographer, aswell as her 'Angelling' (as we like to call it). In Victoria one of our newer Angels Sharlene, has recently started her own business online, showcasing underwear for petite women who sometimes find it hard to shop for smaller sizes.
