3 Minute Angels is what economists call a 'lead indicator'.  We experienced things first when confidence collapsed last year and now we are starting to get an upswing in work.  That got us thinking...has optimism returned to work?  The answer to that question is worth $13200 to you.

Optimistic or Not?

Optimistic or Not?

If optimism is related to productivity and happiness in every area of life including work.  And, incentives are designed to motivate certain customer or employee behaviour.  Then, an increase in usage of workplace incentives - such as 3 Minute Angels - is an increase in optimism.  A return to employers wanting to encourage productivity and happiness at work

This observation is reflected in broader economic murmurings of recovery.  Yet, the unemployment rate could still rise and people are still very anxious about debt, their job security and career.  Budgets are still tight and head count remains frozen in most companies (even if workloads are increasing).

What does all this mean to you?  Share your thoughts with us at myexperience@3minuteangels.com in 150 words or less and the best 'insight' will win.  Tell us what has happened at your work or with your level of optimism.  Do you think optimism has returned to work?  Do you think it ever left?   Why do you think it has returned?  Is it here to stay?

Let us know what you think and you could receive 3-hours of massage every week for a year (Valued at $13200) to share amongst your staff.

Client Profile: Pepsico - Better Than Birthday Cake

Client Profile: Pepsico - Better Than Birthday Cake

Last week the management team at Pepsico Sydney showed they were keen for a healthier way to celebrate employees birthdays.  Normally any employee who is unlucky enough to have their birthday on a work-day is provided with a birthday cake to share around.  A cool initiative sure, but it was getting to be a bit of cake overload.  Instead of the usual cake they surprised everyone with Angels.

Our thoughts: Whilst there will still be cakes at Pepsico, they've now chosen to mix it up a bit.  Going with 3 Minute Angels was a good idea because just like a cake, Angels can be shared and enjoyed around colleagues.  It has to be a step in the right direction.

On behalf of 3 Minute Angels, Happy Birthday again guys! :)

'Your Ideas For Us' Competition Result

August Competition Winner

Last month we asked you for your idea's on: what else we could do as a company.  A big thanks to all of you who contributed your ideas - it was a big effort.  The winner was Kristen (Shish) King.  Shish will receive a $200 voucher from Vintage Cellars.

Side Note: This idea is all the more interesting because Shish was the very first Angel with 3 Minute Angels back in 2002!

This idea can't be used at this point in time, but it is one for the future.  It certainly got us thinking beyond massaging feet.

Her idea: "When the Angels collect the recipients details, instead of getting the recipient to just initial consent for the massage.  Why not collect follow up details as the consent to massage, and do something with that".  Whilst cost of technology and capacity to provide something actually meaningful in return for a persons contact details is missing at the present, the idea is very innovative and in line with modern marketing techniques.  We appreciate the 'outside-the-box' thinking.
