Interesting marketing campaigns are coming out all the time, right?
Tourism Northern Territory along with 3 Minute Angels hit the streets to help the people of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane find their ‘Travel Mojo’s’.
Commuters that passed through Circular Quay (Sydney), Federation Square (Melbourne) or Queen St Mall (Brisbane) over the last week would have been relieved to see the massage Angels.
Many stopped what they were doing to take advantage of free massages. The “Angels” armed with a short questionnaire discovered the 'Travel Mojo' for 600 people.
Some quirky cards giving travel tips and hands of pure gold made a huge marketing impression. “By seeking to understand what makes their (Travel NT) consumer tick, Travel NT let their customers actually ‘feel’ the relaxation of a holiday, if only for 5-minutes. It was a good brand experience for all parties, and with the new insights gathered, I’d expect good results” said Andrew Ward CEO of 3 Minute Angels.
The Tourism Campaign was designed to uncover why people went to the Northern Territory; people were asked to find their Travel Mojo.
A few simple questions uncovered the nature of our city commuters;
- 53% of us are a “Nature Lover” - Someone who balances their busy life with time to unwind, someone looking to back to nature, a seeker of serenity wants to escape the daily grind.
- 28% of us think we are a “Great Adventurer” – Someone who is always on-the-go, you enjoy keeping fit and active even on holidays, for you it’s always about experiencing something new and different.
- Whilst 19% of us classify as a “Soul Searcher” – Someone who enjoys learning about different cultures, for you traveling is apart of your lifestyle, you love the thrill of the unknown.
Once you have rediscovered your ‘Travel Mojo’ your options in the Northern Territory are as wide and diverse as the land up there.
